Norfolk-based ship ordered to Lebanon

The situation in Lebanon is deteriorating and a Norfolk-based ship has been diverted to the coast there, according to the Virginian Pilot. The guided missile destroyer Gonzalez has been ordered to escort a cruise ship that is to be used to evacuate Americans there. The ship is capable of carrying about 750 passengers. There are about 25,000 Americans in Lebanon.
