I note that a lot of Republicans try to make dirty GOP behavior more acceptable my making false claims like “oh, well, everybody does it.” The strategy appears to be that by making some of the more appalling Republican behavior (see, e.g., Abramoff & Co., no-bid reconstruction contracting, and rewriting reality at the science agencies) seem like politics as usual to the public, they can get away with it. It’s utter and complete bullshit, and ought to be labeled as such.

I consider you fair, and have posted as much on my blog. So I do hope you’ll take similar notice and post it here when Dems do such things. You know they do. Both major parties behave this way, and both are equally useless once in office.
