God’s talking to him again

Pat Robertson, that is. You know – the guy who predicted that 2006 would have some devastating storms and that Bush was going to win in a landslide in 2004. Oh yeah – and he prayed away hurricane Gloria a few years ago.

Robertson, in his never-ending quest for the spotlight, today said that God told him that terrorists will strike the US in the second half of the year, resulting in tremendous loss of life.

“The Lord didn’t say nuclear, but I do believe it’ll be something like that — that’ll be a mass killing, possibly millions of people, major cities injured,” Robertson said.

“There will be some very serious terrorist attacks,” he added. “The evil people will come after this country, and there’s a possibility – not a possibility, a definite certainty — that chaos is going to rule.”

I spoke with G-d right after Pat and He told me He was just messing with him.

About Vivian J. Paige

A former candidate, I've learned a lot about politics, both good and bad. I'd prefer more of the former and a lot less of the latter and I'm trying to do my part!

That response is awesome, spot on, and downright hilarious. Nice.

  2. If the attack does occur, and Robertson fails to reveal details in advance wouldn’t that make him an accessory to murder?

  3. I agree. If something happens and Robertson knew the details…

Also, could this be construed as making a terrorist threat? I mean, we ignore the mentally ill so he’s really in no trouble.

  5. At first I thought this was sad and disturbing, and a bit funny like the post. But thinking about it more makes me very angry. Most of us knew people who died on 9/11 or we knew people who was close to someone, etc. since it was so large and horrendous. But I lost two good friends at the Pentagon and this sort of nonsense enrages me now.

How completely un-Christian of Robertson, opportunistic and sick. He says sh** like this for one reason- to make money. And you’re damn right JPTERP- the police should go to him and say, “you need to give us the details so we can stop this now. If not, we may have to send you to a camp.”

  6. I am far from Pat Robertson’s biggest defender, but at the same time, how many scientists last year claimed that it was going to be the worst hurricane season ever? Wow, that one fell flat. And this year, some scientists are claiming it will be the hottest year on record with global warming and El Nino. We shall see.

I think I am more inclined to believe Robertson, though claiming that he got that information from God seems a little odd. From my perspective on Christianity, God is supposed to answer our prayers, not make prophets out of us.

Is it an attempt to make money? Perhaps. It could be something of a warning, that we are complacent, and think it could never happen again.

  7. Somebody explain to me why Sal Iaquinto would take $5,000 from him in 2005. Somebody explain to me why any GOPer would take $ from him.

  8. Same reason you people kiss Soros’s a$$ for cash. It spends. Shall we break down money given to Dems? No one is clean in politics anymore, especially when it comes to money, but you are above it all, I know Eileen. You and your candidates are all saints and only take money from individuals who raised it selling cookies and lemonade… Hey there is a post from New Years I think your Highness needs to read.

I will say this… I hope that when God actually DOES talk to Pat he says “Hey Pat… Shut the %*@! up! :-)

  9. Now that I think of it, Iaquinto should never take cash from felons or coke heads… oh, wait that wouldn’t be Sal. Now who would that be?

See, I can play the stupid and childish ‘gotcha game’ too you hack.

Uh, oh I said something mean! Ban me, or call me a troll…

Read the post from New Years. I know you are on BD anyway.

  10. What puzzles me is why liberals pay so much attention to Reverend Robertson and conservatives so much attention to Reverend Jackson. Does ridicule of such people make us more Godly? When we don’t respect somebody, why do we give them so much publicity?
