GOTV: Blogger ethics

This blogger does not repeat personal gossip or private conversations. I don’t want people to think that anything they say to me will wind up on my blog. It won’t.

I agree with Alice and extend that to emails as well. Anything that I post that is not general public information I always get permission to post. It is why I often do not “break” stories, not because I didn’t have the information first, but that I won’t break the confidence of my sources. If everything that people told me ended up on my blog, I doubt they’d be sharing information with me very long.
