Rapp retires

My sources are telling me that Melanie Rapp, Republican delegate from the 96th district, will be retiring. The reason given is that she has gotten a job out of the area. No word on who her replacement might be.

For the Democratic candidate, Troy Farlow, this should be good news. Taking an open seat is always easier than beating an incumbent and Troy has been out, working hard for this seat.

About Vivian J. Paige

A former candidate, I've learned a lot about politics, both good and bad. I'd prefer more of the former and a lot less of the latter and I'm trying to do my part!

One Response to “Rapp retires”

  1. I wouldn’t be surprised if Tommy Norment Jr. is talked into running. Rapp retiring helps Troy, especially in the Tabb/Grafton area, where her base is. Troy had good numbers, but he’ll need all the help he can get. Kaine and Warner hit 45 or 46% in this district.
