YouMail: Cell phone voice mail

How’d you like to have separate voice mail recordings for each person in your addressbook? YouMail allows you to do just that. According to the AP story, YouMail replaces the voice mail system you have with your carrier. There is a library of generic greetings or you can record your own.

The service is free.

Hmm – might have to give this a whirl ;)

About Vivian J. Paige

A former candidate, I've learned a lot about politics, both good and bad. I'd prefer more of the former and a lot less of the latter and I'm trying to do my part!

  1. THis is actually a really cool service.

I can imagine candidates setting up an individual greeting for each of their top contributors, or even a “Hi Vivian, this is Hillary Clinton. My friend John can’t come to the phone right now so leave a message after the beep… and don’t forget to register to vote if you haven’t already.”

  2. YouMail is even cooler since campaign staffers can get the candidate to record a special “thanks for supporting us” and email it out to all supporters as an email with the voicemail message attached!

    Personalized politics! Love it!
