Thanksgiving 2007

Thanksgiving
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I’m about to start cooking. The menu doesn’t change much from year to year at my house, so I won’t repeat it ;)

But as much as I enjoy the food (and the football :) ), I can’t help but think about all that I am thankful for. The list is far too long to post, and no doubt if I tried, I’d leave something off. Honestly, I don’t need a day set aside to remind me to be thankful. Every morning when I awake and see the sun streaming through the trees is my time to be thankful for all of life’s blessings. I’m even thankful for the challenges, because I believe it is through those challenges that I am able to grow. (I think this was what my father was getting at when he penned this column in 1958.)

Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

Man, you guys come up with some stuff! Never heard of grilled turkey. And what’s wrong with a plain old roasted turkey? :D

One year when the oven broke, I cooked the turkey by smoking it on the Weber grill.

    It was awesome.

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving! I’m thankful everyday that you take the time to inform, educate, and quite often – amuse us.
