A ham to Kansas

Kansas beat Virginia Tech last night in the Orange Bowl 24-21, so Governor Tim Kaine will have to make good on his friendly wager with Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius by sending her a Virginia ham. Turnovers killed the fifth-ranked Hokies – and the two-quarterback system didn’t help. The eighth-ranked Jayhawks took advantage, despite heroic efforts on the part of the Hokies.

So Kaine won’t be eating that assortment of Kansas beef. I hope he sends her a Smithfield ham – one of the real salty ones ;)

UPDATE 1/7: Kaine has fulfilled his obligation.

  1. The problem is the same as when the Hokies played in the Championship Game — they came back by running the football, and then went back to the pass to lose the game.

    The playcalling was horrendous.
