Giants unexpected win

NY Giants logoI thought the game would be close, but I expected the Green Bay Packers to pull it out. A three-point win by the New York Giants sends them to the Super Bowl against the undefeated New England Patriots.

Talk about a game I will have little interest in :( I’m a fan of neither team and really don’t care which one wins.

  1. As a Giants fan, I couldn’t be happier with the way my team has played since that tough game against the Patriots in Week 17. I hope we avenge that loss and bring the Super Bowl home.

Everyone was picking the Packers to win – “Eli’s too inconsistent” “It’s too cold in Green Bay for the Giants” “Brett Farve is too good” “The Giants Secondary is depleted” – well I guess they proved the naysayers wrong tonight. Just shows, never count someone out til the final bell rings.

  2. Peyton won it last season; can Eli do it this time?

  3. Boooo. Boring game ahead.

The scenario I was looking for is not going to happen: Green Bay wins over Patriots. Brett Favre retires in glory.

Ugh. Now I have no choice but to root for the team to finally shut up those old Dolphins.

  4. Was looking forward to a GB-Pats game. But i was gonna root for a Patriots undefeated run anyway.

  5. An amusing irony, is it not, that the “Patriot Act” legalized spying?

    Go, Giants!

  7. It really doesn’t surprise me in the least; although I thought it would be nice to see Brett Favre in the Super Bowl…sort of a redux of his first Super Bowl; nonetheless, I will not take anything away from the New York (football) Giants.

Eli played the kind of ball he’s quite capable of playing. Moreover, just three weeks ago, these same Giants had the Patriots of New England scrambling to salvage their undefeated season. No one should contest the notion that the Giants are the hottest team in football right now.

Should make for a great match-up in the big one!

  8. Winning 9 in a row isn’t a fluke so going in I knew the Giants had a chance. I just didn’t think Eli would perform so well. His performance is what won that game. O yea, the defense did a fine job as well.
