Hillary rally update

No, I’m not there :( but I have a “reporter on the scene” :) Here’s the first update:

“a ridiculous number of people at the Hillary rally. I doubt the venue will be able to accommodate everyone.”

And a first picture – still outside waiting to get in.

update 2:46pm – “shouting down the counter protestors”

update 2:52pm – “everyone in the frame turned away”

The crowd was just too large. Some folks were directed elsewhere to watch on cctv. My reporter is bailing. There is no overflow area to watch her on cctv.

update 3:32pm – “The Hillary campaign clearly didn’t realize the extent of her support in NoVA (and people traveled from *all over* to be here), as the venue couldn’t accommodate the thousand plus turnout (everyone is awful at estimating, but I bet we’ll hear it was at least that). Even after the doors were closed and the fact that no overflow would be available was announced, people decided to stick around, hoping for a glimpse of her when she moved from the motorcade to in the inside of the building. Your humble correspondent admired their dedication, but his previous experience with motorcades and Secret Service made him realize it would be a pointless endeavor, and packed it in. As I was leaving, the doors opened briefly to let a further 50 people into a room where the audio would be piped in.”

update 4:00pm – more photos below the fold. Thanks to my “humble correspondent” for sharing this with us.

Is it impossible to suspend my belief system long enough to wonder … Is it possible that Barack is the real deal?

WOW/Question – pick an ID and stick with it. Or you end up like everyone else that tries that – banned.

Guess some folks didn’t read the post at the top. Posting under multiple names gets you banned here.

It is great to see a woman reach so far, and break the glass ceiling….but with all due respect, Hillary cannot beat McCain. Let us recall she was the very 1st first lady in history to come under criminal investigation, and has a host of scandals.

The repubs are licking their chops hoping to go againest her, they are admitting that.

Obama drew 21,000 people in Seattle, almost a norm for him now.

All polls suggest that Obama will beat McCain, but Hillary cannot. Polls have been right for just about every state that has voted so far, so

A vote for Hillary = a vote for McCain.

McCain = 100 more years in Iraq, thousands more Iraqi kids/women/people dead as well as our sons and brothers. Need I mention our economy is trashed and we cannot afford the billions we are spending in the war.

Plz ppl use your heads, not hearts. Hillary cannot beat McCain.

And please explain what that has to do with the rally in Arlington?

Why is it that Obama supporters can’t make the case for their own candidate without being negative about Hillary?

That’s it – I’ve had enough of the garbage. I’m closing this post.
