Senate budget vote not valid?

Man, the stuff coming out of Richmond today! The latest is that the budget bill passed by the Senate is not a valid vote because it didn’t pass with an 80% majority.

We’ll see how this plays out.

  1. I watched this play out in the Senate last week (yes, my life is just that exciting). I think that the LG’s view of the bill was technically correct. That said, I was not able to ascertain a serious practical difference the competing option for funding education. As someone who doesn’t hang out in legislative galleries much, the process seemed somewhat opaque.

  3. I thought I had seen it earlier but the call I got today made me think something else had transpired.

I think it’s time for the proprietors of 7 West to rev up their old blog, Extra Innings, since we’re headed for overtime.
