What I completely missed was the breadth of Obama’s appeal. I really wouldn’t have predicted what we’ve seen at all. Now I guess we’ll get to test the depth.

What makes me even more convinced is the response I’ve gotten from Rs just over the last few days. Ordinary conservatives, without prompting, some I’ve known for a while, others I’ve just met, told me that they found Hillary impressive and would have considered voting for her over McCain (one told me that he would have voted for her over McCain).

If there is any group that has demonstrated hatred for Hillary, it has to be Ds. And that’s pretty sad.

Besides, I look back somewhat fondly on the days when political conventions actually mattered and were not just boring campaign rallies.

If Hillary does not fold her tent there will actually be a reason to describe Barack as only the presumptive nominee.

You are the one who blasphemously accused me of the very vile (and drunk too) about that which I wrote, hate, so you have no room to lecture anyone on sensibility. Additionally, the actual tongue and cheek comment on this thread was directed only at one web site, the orange stain that was linked, although I have mentioned the other offenders many other times.

It may soon (November 15th?) be time to try to get beyond the primary, regardless if I continue to boycott the aforementioned media outlets or not. I read the blogs, I listened to the radio and watched the TV shows all day long. These sites and shows were my 24/7 media world. The venom, disrespect and lies that emanated from them were nothing but what I call “merchants of hate” towards HRC. I am not talking about you or Linda or the many backers of BO who I call my dear friends. There are far more of you guys that I love than my fellow backers of MY GIRL, even though she got more primary votes than your guy!!!!!

So yes, the term is exactly how I think and is directed like a laser to those media sources, traditional and new, for which the shoe fits. I said it before, I love everyone, until you stick a shiv in me.

It is not HATE on my part to freely choose to not visit the web sites, TV shows and radio shows that, IMHO, have been character assassin to HRC, purveyors of race baiting politics and merchants of hate. It is a choice, not hate.
