I started this blog to talk about local politics, specifically Norfolk politics. It is impossible
to talk about Norfolk in a vacuum, so you'll also find some regional, state, and national politics. And sometimes, no politics at all.
The inspiration for this blog comes from one of Virginia's most respected forefathers:
"I know no safe depositary of the ultimate powers of the society but the people themselves; and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them, but to inform their discretion by education. This is the true corrective of abuses of constitutional power."
Thomas Jefferson, 1820

Good move by Clinton. The speech she gave on Tuesday hardly did anything ro unity. It’s time to end this primary and focus on the real opponent: John McCain.
After more than a year of supporting Hillary I was very disapppointed to see her on Tuesday night hint to her supporters that she will wait to see what they want her to do next. It is clearly over, time for unity, especially for those of us who have been taking the flack for supporting her. I do hope he sees fit to choose her for VP.
I like how she has decided to be the LAST one to acknowledge she lost.
I am convinced on Jan. 20 she will push her way tot eh steps carrying her own bible insisting she be sworn in.
Ugh
Hey there, Squeaky Wheel! Time to squirt yourself with some grease and simmer down now, ok?
