I’ve never gotten into Linux. It’s just not my thing. I know a lot of folks who have, though.

I have an Asus eeePC. It weighs less than 2 pounds, with a 7 inch screen, and a solid state drive (flash memory instead of a hard drive – this is the direction of all computers, very, very soon). I love it. I gave my 12 year old daughter one for her birthday.

Best of all – Linux!!! Open source. It cost me $351.00 on Amazon, with free shipping. I carry it everywhere. I wouldn’t be without it, now.

I’ll never be without the ability to connect to my computer using my phone. That’s an absolute no-go for me.

My “upgrade” in phones some time back took away my ability to connect my laptop to the net through my phone. Annoying enough that I may well end up reverting.

I’ve had a small computer for years – see here. But my Sony U750P is getting a little long in the tooth and it was time for an upgrade. The other thing is that I’m trying to pack as light as possible for Denver
