Okay, I can spot a liar, too.
Posted by Carla | Friday, August 1, 2008, 2:29 pmI can definitely spot a liar. But then, I have a lot of practice at that.
Posted by spotter | Friday, August 1, 2008, 5:59 pmSpotting, that is. Not lying.
Posted by spotter | Friday, August 1, 2008, 6:00 pm“You Sometimes Know When Someone’s Lying
You can spot a liar if the liar slips up, but you’re not always aware of other people’s dishonesty.
Eventually a liar will reveal himself, and you usually will figure out if you’ve been lied to.
However, someone could be duping you without you knowing it. So watch out for the telltale signs of lying!”
—Seems correct for me … I tend to believe in people unless they convince me otherwise
Posted by Shawn O'Donnell | Friday, August 1, 2008, 7:47 pmWhat if that person is in a gubanatorial debate, and tells the people of Virginia that he will complete the phase out of the Car Tax, and never raise taxes, if you Trust him and vote for him to be Governor?
What if that guy gets elected Governor, spending goes up $5.9 billion while he is Governor, yet never budgets more than $303 million towards eliminating the Car Tax… Then breaks his promise on the repeal… Then on top of that raises taxes?
Have you possibly spotted a liar?
Bottom line, don’t make promises you never intend to keep…
Posted by Spank That Donkey | Saturday, August 2, 2008, 12:20 amGee, Donkey, who’d expect a politician to lie? If we can’t trust our politicians, who can we trust?
Posted by Anon E. Mouse | Saturday, August 2, 2008, 12:49 amDonkey … I did spot the first big lie …. “NO CAR TAX” an often repeated lie someone uttered to be elected Governor
Posted by virginiadem | Saturday, August 2, 2008, 12:08 pmVirginia Dem:
The Car Tax Cut isn’t a lie… it’s real, and the largest and longest lasting tax cut in Virginia’s history. It will help families meet their bills this year.
The lie is that it can not be fully implemented and completely phased out. $5.8 billion in new spending for Virginia in just two years. A 9.3%, and 9.7% increase in the budgets, and not a dime to keep the phase out at 70%?
