Polls closed – now the waiting begins

It’s 7:00pm and the polls in Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, South Carolina, Vermont and VA have just closed. These six states represent 58 electoral votes, but all eyes are on Indiana and Virginia. Indiana went for the Republican candidate in all four of the last elections. Virginia, as we all know, has not voted for a Democrat since 1964.

What will we see time? Time will tell.

UPDATE: Well, that didn’t take long. CNN calls Vermont for Obama and Kentucky for McCain. Oh, and NPR calls it for Mark Warner!

About Vivian J. Paige

A former candidate, I've learned a lot about politics, both good and bad. I'd prefer more of the former and a lot less of the latter and I'm trying to do my part!

  1. Can you believe IN is too close to call at 7PM? That’s awesome.
Mayor Wilder of Richmond is talking right now about the actual possibility of VA going to Obama. Sweet.
