Republican mayoral candidate hands out fliers with Obama on them

The Virginia Pilot is reporting that Will Sessoms, candidate for mayor in Virginia Beach, handed out fliers with his image and that of Barack Obama in certain areas Tuesday.

Workers for mayoral candidate Will Sessoms passed out fliers Tuesday aimed at black voters that said, “Obama for President, Sessoms for Virginia Beach Mayor.” Yet Sessoms said he planned to vote for John McCain and has given money to his campaign.

Is this why Sessoms is running a bit ahead of incumbent Meyera Oberndorf? And why he was at the Obama rally in Virginia Beach?

If for no other reason than this display of intellectual dishonesty, I hope that Sessoms loses.
