I would like to obtain 3 tickets for the Presidential Inauguration. My young son has been studying the political process and voted with my this past Tuesday. Since his father is from Australia and worked for many years at the Australian Embassy, my son has met the Prime Minister and several of the Ambassadors. It would be a wonderful opportunity for him to witness such an historic event in the United States and compare it to his experience with the Australian Government.
Thank you,
Karen Moody

He’s gracious, but it is more likely Obama that won in Virginia on Warner’s coat-tails, not the other way around.

PLEASE STOP LEAVING REQUESTS FOR TICKETS! I do not have any pull with getting tickets and have posted the information on getting them in this thread.

Closing this thread because folks can’t read. This is no way to contact Sentor-elect Warner. I doubt if he’s keeping track of ticket requests by reading this blog.
I learned a lot about politics as the result of my run for City
Treasurer. This blog is my way of staying in touch with those who supported me and reaching out to those who did not.
The primary focus of this blog is Norfolk politics. Of course, you can't talk about Norfolk in a vacuum, so sprinkled in are some regional, state, and national politics. And sometimes, no politics at all.
The inspiration for this blog comes from one of Virginia's most respected forefathers:
"I know no safe depositary of the ultimate powers of the society but the people themselves; and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them, but to inform their discretion by education. This is the true corrective of abuses of constitutional power."
