To make the situation even more complicated in Fairfax, many of the candidates who are rumored to be interested in replacing the candidates for chairman are now on the County School Board. So in other words, there would be a special election for a new chairman, then a special election for a new board member, then a special election for a new school board member. It could be special election craziness up here in Fairfax.

There is also a Commonwealth’s Attorney special in Fredericksburg. Charlie Sharp was elevated to the Circuit Court, replacing John Scott who passed suddenly this spring.

Mr Sharp’s former Deputy LaBravia Jenkins is CA currently, and running against Eric Olsen and Jeh Hicks on Dec 16.

Vivian, There will also be a special election in Fairfax County for Chairman of the BOCS, which is necessitated by the Conolly win on tuesday…

AND, if it does turn into a contest between Sharon Bulova (D) and Pat Herrity (R), then there will presumably be yet another special election after the chairman election to select someone to replace the winner of the Chairman’s race!
