Sky show

moon_venus_jupiter
The moon, Venus and Jupiter came together Monday evening in a rare conjunction that was visible to the naked eye. This picture was taken outside my house. We missed the tightest conjunction which, according to this article, was supposed to look like a frown.  (Click to enlarge)

That was very cool. And nicely done with the picture, too. Not easy.

Great picture. I didn’t know it was anything special. My son and I got in the car about 6 last night, and I looked up in the sky and saw the configuration. I said, “Check that out. That looks pretty cool.” He said, “Looks like a frown.”

I was driving home from the Shore last night and saw that. Thought that it looked too fake to be real. Didn’t know what it was til I woke up this morning.
