Where have we heard this before?

Via AP:

“No,” he replied.

[Louisiana Gov. Bobby] Jindal’s trip to Iowa last month fueled speculation that he was laying the groundwork for a presidential campaign, and he did not rule out changing his mind over the next few years.

I guess “No” really means “maybe.”  And he’s not alone:

Republican Mitt Romney is laying the groundwork for a possible White House campaign in 2012, hiring a team of staff members and consultants with money from a fund-raising committee he established with the ostensible purpose of supporting other GOP candidates.

Think the last presidential election cycle was a long one?

A former candidate, I've learned a lot about politics, both good and bad. I'd prefer more of the former and a lot less of the latter and I'm trying to do my part!

  2. Hopefully Bobby Jindal will be more successful then Sarah Palin.

I’m not saying Bobby is a great candidate, but out of the starting gate he’s much preferable to Sarah.

  3. Right now, sitting out 2012 looks like it would be a smart play for Jindal.

  4. Brian,

Why? We have not yet seen what Barack Obama is going to do. Some of us that voted for him are already starting to look for alternatives.

It seems one of our favorite alternatives (Hillary) from the Democratic side is going to be neutralized.

I’m glad the Republicans are working on providing us with an alternative choice if Barack should stumble and fall.
