2009 Gubernatorial Race, Brian Moran, Hampton Roads, Local, Politics, Virginia

Fraim plus Frank, Holley, Oberndorf and Ward

moranbadgeblueNorfolk Mayor Paul Fraim was one of five Hampton Roads mayors to endorse Brian Moran for governor this afternoon. Joining him were Newport News Mayor Joe Frank, Portsmouth Mayor James Holley, Virginia Beach Mayor Meyera Oberndorf and Hampton Mayor Molly Ward.

“I know Brian Moran understands the needs of Hampton Roads,” Norfolk Mayor Paul Fraim said. “His dedication to finding real transportation solutions has been impressive.  But more than that, he’s been a fighter for our Commonwealth for two decades.  That’s why I know he’ll work to keep our carriers in Norfolk, improve access to education, and grow our economy. Brian has the values, the experience and the vision to lead our Commonwealth and I’m proud to support him.”

“Virginia needs a Governor who has a record of dealing with tough problems. Brian Moran was a leader when we fixed the state budget’s structural imbalance and he knows how to get things done in Richmond.  More than any other candidate, he’s been a fighter for Virginia democrats, winning races all over Virginia.  He knows what needs to be done to continue Virginia’s progress.”
- Newport News Mayor Joe Frank

“Brian Moran has a proven record of working across the aisle to get things done. He is focused on results and has a strong commitment to public service. For over 20 years he’s served his community and I’m confident he can serve ours. Virginia needs a proven leader in the Governor’s office through these tough times. Brian has the record of results and the vision to keep Virginia the best place to live, work and raise a family.”
- Hampton Mayor Molly Ward

“Our area needs strong leadership that believes in regional cooperation, understands the importance of our military community, and is committed to growing our economy. Brian understands the problems facing Hampton Roads — we need him in the Governor’s office.”
- Virginia Beach Mayor Meyera Oberndorf

And you, too, can endorse Brian for governor. Head over to his site and add your name to the list.

About Vivian J. Paige

A former candidate, I've learned a lot about politics, both good and bad. I'd prefer more of the former and a lot less of the latter and I'm trying to do my part!

  3. Can you really believe Brian Kirwin on this email – laughing becauseof Meyera’s loss after the whipping he took throughout the state with his right wing ideaology. Brian the Republicans have a major problem in this state and you guys do not even get what it is. How many more whippings you need in order for you to figure out it is your social ideology that is your downfall. People just do not wnat you telling them how they have to live their lives. Your fiscal conservatives realize this but the other half just does not get it so I keep enjoying the whipping we put on you guys.
So smile about one race while I smile about Obama, Perriello, Nye, Connoly, Warner, etc……..

  6. Ominous rumbling.

Some of the recent Democratic successes have been due to those of us in the center voting for you.

Those of you from the extreme left better realize that us in the center will abandon you forth haste if you demand your agenda. You came to us. If you now abandon us with glee we can shift our votes.
