I started this blog to talk about local politics, specifically Norfolk politics. It is impossible
to talk about Norfolk in a vacuum, so you'll also find some regional, state, and national politics. And sometimes, no politics at all.
The inspiration for this blog comes from one of Virginia's most respected forefathers:
"I know no safe depositary of the ultimate powers of the society but the people themselves; and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them, but to inform their discretion by education. This is the true corrective of abuses of constitutional power."
Thomas Jefferson, 1820

Ooooh… did someone get a scanner for Christmas?
Happy Holidays, Vivian!
Whoo – hoo.
I got invited to the White House for Christmas Dinner.
I got a card from Kaine and Warner, end of story.
What is the one with the (capitol building?) on it?
eileen – no, it’s an old scanner
Mark – that card is from Senator John Miller (1st District).
Humm looks like someone has been kissing the ring
Nope. I suspect a couple of those cards are the result of my having been a delegate to the national convention.
ok was just jiving you anyways :-p
