Terry McAuliffe announces that he will announce his candidacy on Wednesday. Was there any doubt?
The campaign also released a schedule of townhall meetings and events to be held around the state as a campaign kick off. The events begin Wednesday, January 7 and are scripted thru January 15.
You know, the thing is so far, his campaign (such as it is) has done a pretty good job at managing perception. The initial shock has worn off a bit, and the fact that Brian Moran’s team is very obvious freaked out lends to his credibility. This may end up being interesting to watch.
Posted by Silence Dogood | Sunday, January 4, 2009, 8:14 amMacker? Come on Vivian.
How about an even simpler twist of “Moran” into “Moron”?
But I guess you would object to that, right? Moran is your favored candidate.
I wish to identify I have no horse in this race. I am still even considering the Republican.
Posted by LittleDavid | Sunday, January 4, 2009, 11:29 am“Macker” is what McAuliffe is calling himself, LD. Text MACKER to 388873 to get updates, etc. from his campaign.
Otherwise, “Macker” makes me think of Big Mac’s and boo… I’m on a diet. Mmmm… Big Mac’s…
Posted by eileen | Sunday, January 4, 2009, 11:52 amThanks for informing me Eileen.
I guess I was just too sensitive to the slurs some people assign to anyone who’s name begins with Mc.
Posted by LittleDavid | Sunday, January 4, 2009, 12:38 pmAnd where is the apology, LD?
Posted by vjp | Sunday, January 4, 2009, 12:47 pmVivian,
If you need an apology here it is.
Please forgive me for being so stupid. Wait wait, not stupid, just ignorant.
Please accept my humble apology that came along with an explanation. I am counting on that the explanation makes you more willing to accept the apology.
Why give up a mile when you only have to give up an inch?
Posted by LittleDavid | Sunday, January 4, 2009, 1:10 pmThe problem is that you were so quick to call me out, LD, without any justification. I don’t call people names. The Macker is how McAuliffe has been referred to not only by himself, but in numerous publications. That’s the kind of stuff you learn when you take the time to research before spouting off.
And remember, you were the one who said you were trying to be more like Jesus. WWJD?
Posted by vjp | Sunday, January 4, 2009, 1:14 pmSeems to me I am just as willing to call out Brian Kirwin and J.R. What you can’t stand the heat?
I do not think you want to go too far into the Jesus thing if you get my point. My opinion is supported by both human logic and religion.
Posted by LittleDavid | Sunday, January 4, 2009, 1:38 pmThere’s a difference in calling out someone when you are RIGHT and calling out someone when you are WRONG.
Bye bye
