House Democrats have selected Ken Plum as the new caucus chair. This is an interesting turn of events, as many expected that Kris Amundson would be chosen.
And word is that Charniele Herring, who won last night’s special election, is not being seated. Seems that the race was just too close. More as it comes in.
Is that just the R House members screwing around with Herring?

Posted by Mark Brooks | Wednesday, January 14, 2009, 3:51 pmIs this really surprising? The majority party candidate lost, but got close enough for a recount. The majority party holds off seating the winner until the recount process plays out. Heck, Al Franken is the majority party candidate, and he can’t get seated. Granted, his problem is the state courts, but that’s where this race may be headed, too.
