Some gubernatorial numbers

Bob McDonnellAG Bob McDonnell, the Republican candidate for governor, will be reporting that he has over $2 million on hand.

McDonnell brought in $1.612 million in last six months, from 1,072 individual contributions, and raised more than $1 million since election day 2008.

And Brian MBrian Moranoran, one of three Democratic candidates for governor and my candidate, will report having raised more than $2 million in 2008.

Virginians for Brian Moran Campaign Chair Mame Reiley announced that the campaign raised more than $2.1 million between January and December of 2008, surpassing its fundraising goals. In the second half of 2008 alone, the campaign brought in an additional $754,899.  Throughout 2008, 95 percent of all donations and of all donors came from Virginia.

Fundraising reports are due to be filed today.
