This and that

I’ve got a full day today so posting will be light. I’m hoping to get the video converted (why, oh why, does it take so long to work with video?) of Brian Moran’s announcement yesterday of his health care initiative. If I get a chance, I’ll get that up.

I’m also trying to find time to get up a post about the Virginia auto dealers. You can catch a bit of it here. The most interesting thing about this is that I’m getting contacts about it from both sides of the aisle – so that should tell lawmakers that these bills need to be scrutinized, something I hope to do this evening, as I will be in Richmond. (I understand the Senate Transportation Committee will be taking these bills up Thursday.) UPDATE: Not these bills, another bill. See alert above.

While I’m in Richmond, I see that Senator Creigh Deeds will be in Norfolk. He is speaking at the Norfolk City Democratic Committee meeting.

Finally, in case you missed it, the saga of SPSA continues. The latest news is that chief financial officer quit. And the Pilot editorial board says that “it should consider selling the whole operation.” All I know is that we taxpayers here are probably going to get stuck with a(nother) big bill.
