Best roundup of the NSOTU speech

I’ve read a lot of the comments about President Obama’s speech last night but I think this is one of the best.

But I had the feeling throughout the speech that there was nothing new here and that he wasted an opportunity to explain things in ways that would have restored confidence not just in the public’s own fortunes but more precisely, in their confidence in him.

Head on over and read the whole thing.

About Vivian J. Paige

A former candidate, I've learned a lot about politics, both good and bad. I'd prefer more of the former and a lot less of the latter and I'm trying to do my part!

  1. I cannot believe that article. I have very rarely in my lifetime seen an individual break our problems down so eloquently so that evry American can truly understand them. Obama broke down an extremely complicated situation into easy to listen to explanations and explained his intentions on how he is approaching them. He also indicated to the American public the role they would have to play in helping to create a new America. This included making the financial CEO’s realize they also have a moral obligation. This is by far one of the greatest speeches to Congress I have heard in my lifetime. I also believe Gov. Jindal just blew his opportunity for ever enjoying the White House. So he doesn’t think knowing when a volcano will blow up our people is very important. I suppose we shouldn’t monitor hurricanes either.

  2. The polls show that the president’s words resonated with most of the viewing public … you might check other reviews … here’s a decent cross section
