Hampton Dems event

The Hampton Dems hosted an event this afternoon for statewide and local Democratic candidates. In attendance were gubernatorial candidates Brian Moran and Creigh Deeds along with attorney general candidate Steve Shannon. Surrogates for gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe, and lieutenant governor candidates Jody Wagner, Jon Bowerbank, and Pat Edmonson were also there.

Prior to the speeches, the Hampton YD officers were installed.

Hampton Dems YDsThe young fellow on the far left is the son of Hampton Chair Gaylene Kanoyton. When giving him the oath, Gaylene was choking back tears. She’s raised a fine young man :)

The three gubernatorial candidates/surrogates were first to speak. They chose numbers to determine the order. First up was Dorothy McAuliffe, wife of Terry McAuliffe.

Video of Moran, Deeds and Shannon will follow as I get it processed. I did not record the LG surrogates.

It was a good event and thanks to Hampton Dems for hosting.

About Vivian J. Paige

A former candidate, I've learned a lot about politics, both good and bad. I'd prefer more of the former and a lot less of the latter and I'm trying to do my part!
