American Idol results 03/18/09

Interestingly enough the first two people declared safe on Wednesday night’s results show were the two who I thought put in the weakest performances Tuesday – Lil and Danny. And the first person who was put into the bottom three provided what I thought was one of the strongest performances, Allison. What in the heck were the voters thinking?

The second person in the bottom three was Michael Sarver. Not a real surprise there.

The last singer added to the bottom three was Alexis.

Allison ended up being safe, as she should have been. Maybe next week I’ll break my own rule and actually vote in this competition :)

The duet with Carrie Underwood and Randy Travis was quite nice. I’d like to have heard a little more harmony but it was a pretty good performance. Of course, I’d still rather they cut out all the unnecessary filler in the results show and go back to a half hour show.

Voted off was Alexis and the judges decided against using their save for her. Guess that blows this story out of the water.

About Vivian J. Paige

A former candidate, I've learned a lot about politics, both good and bad. I'd prefer more of the former and a lot less of the latter and I'm trying to do my part!

  1. I suspect if Alexis had poured as much emotion into her first performance of Joleen as she did into her last performance, she wouldn’t have been in the bottom three in the first place.
