Amundson & Saxman: “What We Learned”

Retiring delegates Kris Amundson (D-44) and Chris Saxman (R-20) put pen to paper in an amusing, yet poignant, article in Sunday’s Washington Post.

Saturday morning cartoons used to have a short Schoolhouse Rock video called, “How a Bill Becomes a Law.” We learned that the video is not even close to reality.

I remember that video! “I’m just a bill, I’m only a bill…” Here’s the video for y’all who may have missed it.

On a much more serious note, the pair discuss how the General Assembly really works. It’s worth a read ;)

UPDATE: Hadn’t seen Del. Amundson’s appropriately named post. Scary – we both thought about the same thing :)

About Vivian J. Paige

A former candidate, I've learned a lot about politics, both good and bad. I'd prefer more of the former and a lot less of the latter and I'm trying to do my part!
