How did this happen?

Jason Call, the Republican candidate challenging Del. Algie Howell in the 90th, has received the endorsement of the Virginia Education Association.

Call has made education the cornerstone of his campaign, with a video on his website on the subject.  In a press release announcing the endorsement, he says:

We need to reengage our youth in the American Dream to combat drugs, gangs, and teen pregnancy. We need to emphasize education, not incarceration. We need to offer games, not gangs.

After this, I don’t want to hear a Republican complain about the VEA being a Democratic organization again.

Bearing Drift has more.

About Vivian J. Paige

A former candidate, I've learned a lot about politics, both good and bad. I'd prefer more of the former and a lot less of the latter and I'm trying to do my part!
