Capt. John Bell garners endorsements

John Bell for SheriffCapt. John Bell, the Democratic candidate for Sheriff in Virginia Beach, has been picking up some endorsements.

The Virginia Police Benevolent Association, a statewide group who represents law enforcement officers,  has endorsed his candidacy.

We will ask our members, their friends and families, and all citizens who respect the strong and efficient enforcement of our laws to cast their ballots in the upcoming election in your favor.

The Virginia Beach Police Supervisors’ Association also endorsed Bell.

We believe that John, with his 35 years of law enforcement experience will continue to maintain the high standards of the Virginia Beach Sheriff’s Office as well as continuing cooperation with our Police Department. It is for these reasons that we ask for your support and vote for John Bell as our next Sheriff in Virginia Beach.

Finally, the Virginia Beach Taxpayer Alliance announced its endorsement of Bell Thursday.

John Bell brings the non-professional politician and thirty-plus years of distinguish service in your police department to the race – quality over big money and flash.

Speaking of money, Bell is having a fundraiser this coming Sunday, October 25. Details are below the fold.

About Vivian J. Paige

A former candidate, I've learned a lot about politics, both good and bad. I'd prefer more of the former and a lot less of the latter and I'm trying to do my part!
