Beginning Tuesday, I’ll be taking a look at the two candidates who will be facing off in the Republican canvass in the 8th Senate district: Jeff McWaters and Rosemary Wilson. The seat is being vacated by Ken Stolle, who was elected sheriff of Virginia Beach. The canvass will be held on Saturday, December 5, from 10am to 3pm at five locations in the district:
- Red Mill Elementary School, 1860 Sandbridge Road
- Holland Road Elementary School, 3340 Holland Road
- VB Republican HQ, 2955 Virginia Beach Blvd., Suite 105
- VB Fire & Rescue Squad, 740 Virginia Beach Blvd.
- VB Christian Church, 2225 Rose Hall Drive
The date for the election has not been set.
