Thanks for the press Vivian. I do not take running for office lightly. Voter turnout we be low in May, so I know every vote counts. I am actively campaigning and the response has been great. Thanks again for your support.

I was at a civic forum recently at which Tommy Smigel was present. He was informed, articulate,thoughtful and passionate about the City,and his home district, Ocean View. The voters in Ward 5 would be well served by his presence on Council. One can only hope Mr. Wright will be appointed and accepts the State position offered and thus “promoted off” City Council . Wright’s “promotion” and Smigel’s election would be a positive change for the citizens of Norfolk. Vivian is absolutely correct, one may not be able to physically cast a vote for a Ward 5 candidate,but one can certainly vote with one’s pocketbook.I plan to because we desparately need new voices on City Council.
