A Redskins win

The Washington Redskins managed to grab a lead and hold onto it yesterday in 34-13 win over the Oakland Raiders. It’s been a long time between wins for this 4-9 team. It would have been nice to see: I missed most of the game because I had visitors. I caught a play here and there.

Next up: the New York Giants, losers to the Philadelphia Eagles in last night’s game. The Giants (7-6) are two games out of first place in the NFC East and as of right now, out of the playoffs. A win by the Redskins will help keep them out. ;)

  1. Bad strategy to beat the Raiders. A loss would have left the Redskins with the inside track on higher draft pick than Oakland, maybe the first pick, given their general futility. That’s all they are playing for at this point.

  2. Maybe. But they are also playing for pride as well as a job next year, maybe somewhere else.

  3. Damn! Could’ve collected on my cigar bet with a ‘Skins loss!

  4. ****Disclaimer*****
    I am a life-long Redskins fan!

Given that, I can still say, “a stopped clock is right twice a day”.

Time for Snyder to sell and find some other “hobby” to ruin!
