National town hall meeting on the budget

America Speaks, an organization dedicated to “reinvigorating American democracy by engaging citizens in the public decisions that most impact their lives,” is hosting a national town hall meeting on June 26 on the economy and the budget.

One of the discussion sites is in Richmond. Hosted by the Commonwealth Institute for Fiscal Analysis and the City of Richmond, the event is free but seating is limited. You need to register by today, June 15, if you plan to attend. The event will be held from 11:30am to 6pm at the Virginia State Capitol — 1000 Bank Street, Richmond, VA 23219 (Senate Room #3).

You can also host your own Community Conversation or join the discussion online.

About Vivian J. Paige

A former candidate, I've learned a lot about politics, both good and bad. I'd prefer more of the former and a lot less of the latter and I'm trying to do my part!
