Redistricting seminar Friday

Sorry for the late notice on this but there will be a Redistricting Seminar tomorrow morning in Fairfax.

  • Date: January 7, 2011
  • Time: 10am – 12pm. Registration begins at 9:30am
  • Place: Fairfax Government Center, The Auditorium, 12000 Fairfax Government Center Parkway

Governor McDonnell of the Commonwealth and Chairman Bulova of Fairfax County are invited to address the public about redistricting process in the state as well as in the county.

Among presenters are Deputy Fairfax County Attorney Michael Long, Mr. David Poole from the Virginia Public Access Project, Representative from the Census Bureau.

Northern Virginia Senators and Delegates are invited to meet the public before starting their session in Richmond the second week of January.

This event is being hosted by:

  • Coalition of Asian Pacific Americans in Virginia (CAPAVA)
  • League of Woman Voters of Virginia (LWV – VA)
  • Virginia Coalition of Latino Organizations (VACOLAO)
  • Voice of Vietnamese Americans (VVA).
