The story should go up some time tonight at The Virginia Gazette.

Ah, I thought I had an exclusive on this, but the trial balloon apparently went by the Free-Lance Star too.

Posted by Vivian J. Paige | Friday, February 11, 2011, 7:59 pmI can’t imagine Wittman giving up a safe House seat for a longshot at the Senate.

Posted by Silence Dogood | Friday, February 11, 2011, 11:46 pmInteresting. Allen supporters could see reason to dump him for Wittman. Allen being damaged goods, Wittman could become the new establishment favorite. Webb dropping out could make it more realistic for Wittman’s chances to secure his party’s nomination. It could also split anti-Radtke votes.
