ICYMI: Tracking your legislators with ease

My latest op-ed appeared in The Virginian-Pilot Wednesday. (Once again, I have to say the newspaper presentation was much better than the website.)

Richmond Sunlight is not new to those of us who follow the General Assembly closely. Although I did not have my own portfolio this year, there were several public portfolios that I accessed to view bills that were important to me. One I looked at quite frequently was that of the Virginia Society of CPAs, of which I am a member. At the bottom of their 2011 Session Watch page is a link to it as well.

Since I was a part of the beta test group when Waldo Jaquith first put this together, the site has grown tremendously. The General Assembly’s own site has also gotten better, probably because of the competition ;) . (I use the GA site primarily for the budget, which is not included in RS.)

If you haven’t been over there lately, check it out.

About Vivian J. Paige

A former candidate, I've learned a lot about politics, both good and bad. I'd prefer more of the former and a lot less of the latter and I'm trying to do my part!

  1. You should be getting an invitation to beta test my new site soon, too! (After your feedback when I started Richmond Sunlight, I’d be nuts not to include you.) The bummer is that it’s been five years between sites. I should be popping these things out every year!
