According to this article from today’s newspaper, a couple of folks are considering a bid for the state Senate from Virginia Beach. Isn’t it a little late, though?

No, they have until the polls close on primary day, Aug. 23. The deadline last month was for people who wanted to be on the primary ballot. The district parties still have the option of choosing candidates by convention or caucus.
