Congressman Bobby Scott will host a job fair at Norfolk State University’s New Student Center this coming Tuesday, August 9, from 10 am to 3 pm.

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Robert C. “Bobby” Scott announced today that he will host a Job Fair at Norfolk State University’s New Student Center on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. A diverse group of employers, including the Federal government, local municipal governments, and private companies, will be represented at the fair. There will also be several workshops which will give attendees tips on how to write resumes and pointers on how to polish their interviewing skills.
“Our economy is still slowly recovering from the worst recession since the Great Depression and unemployment remains high,” said Rep. Scott. “This Job Fair will provide an excellent opportunity for citizens of the Third Congressional District to meet and visit with area employers who are hiring.”
