Upcoming candidate forums

Election Day is just about three weeks away, November 8th. Today, October 17th, is the last day to register to vote. If you are not registered, please take the time to do so.

Upcoming candidate forums:

• October 21: Virginia House District 94. Candidates: Gary West and David Yancey. 6:30pm, Newport News Fountain Plaza II (City Center at Oyster Point, 700 Town Center Drive).
• October 24: Virginia House District 21. Candidates: Del. Ron Villanueva and Adrianne Bennett. 6:30pm, Landstown High School auditorium (2001 Concert Drive, Virginia Beach).
• October 26: Virginia Senate District 6. Candidates: Sen. Ralph Northam and Ben Loyola. 6:30pm, Diehn Fine and Performing Arts Building (Old Dominion University).
• October 28: Virginia Senate District 2. Candidates: Sen. Mamie Locke and Thomas Harmon. 6:30pm, Hampton City Hall (Council chambers, 8th floor).

These forums are free and open to the public. With redistricting, some of you may find that you are in a different district than you were previously. Please check the State Board of Elections website or contact your local registrar.
