I ran across this handy tool a while back, and I refer to it often. The Commonwealth of Virginia has available a report with plenty of information in it. Everything from current statistics to future employment trends and occupation viability.
Anyone can request information by locality, county, congressional districts, Workforce Investment Areas, MSA (Metropolitan Statistical Area), and Community College Regions. They call the finished .pdf report a “Community Profile”.
It’s good to be able to get updated information like this at a moments notice. This could be useful in a lot of situations.
