My latest op-ed, title above, appeared in Wednesday’s Virginian-Pilot. Things are sure to be different at the polls in November, even without the record turnout. There is sure to be some confusion over the new voter ID rules, as well as those related to the casting of a provisional ballot. The need for volunteers to help is great.
If I lived in Richmond, I think I’d volunteer at the call center McDonnell mentioned in his email. It would be quite interesting to see what’s happening around the state on Election Day – and no better place to observe that than at the hub of activity.
If you have some time, check with your local registrar on how you can help on Election Day. I’m sure they would appreciate it.
