Mark your calendars: October 11. The 20th annual Norfolk Kiwanis Harbor Party and Seafood Fest is happening that day from 4:30pm to 7:30pm at Town Point Park. Thousands of folks from all around will be on hand to eat some good seafood, drink a little beer and wine, and socialize.
Oh – and talk a little politics 
Typically, candidates are there, freely mingling with the crowd. (For some reason, I can’t locate my photos from last year’s event but here are some from 2010′s.) If you’re running for office – here’s looking at you, Tim Kaine and George Allen – this is a great opportunity to talk with voters.
Tickets are $40 in advance, $45 at the door. The proceeds benefit local charities.
