All of the major news outlets have declared Barack Obama the next president of the United States. Unbelievable. Absolutely unbelievable.
Just finished reviewing the numbers on the SBE website. Right this minute, Obama is leading by about 19,000 votes. Looking at what’s not in the numbers – Richmond, Roanoke, parts of Arlington, and Fairfax County – it’s pretty clear that Virginia has, for the first time in 44 years, voted for a Democrat for President.
It’s 7:00pm and the polls in Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, South Carolina, Vermont and VA have just closed. These six states represent 58 electoral votes, but all eyes are on Indiana and Virginia.
