Feel good story of the day: dash away, all

OK, so not exactly a story but something that made me laugh, so I think it qualifies. From The Virginian-Pilot: ’Twas right before Christmas, and all through the Capitol. Few politicians were stirring, their consciences unflappable; Head over and read the whole thing. I think it might make you laugh, too

Feel good story of the day: a step back in time

Have to admit slim pickings out there today on feel-good stories. Either that or I’m looking in the wrong places Or maybe the bar is just too high after yesterday’s story. From The Virginian-Pilot: Christmas these days involves lots of fussy preparations and overspending on overpriced gadgets. But if we went back in time, way … Continue reading »

Feel good story of the day: first kiss

From The Virginian-Pilot: It’s a time-honored tradition at Navy homecomings – one lucky sailor is chosen to be first off the ship for the long-awaited kiss with a loved one.

Feel good story of the day: bonuses

In the spirit of the holiday season, I’m going to try to locate and post a link to a story every day that I find that makes me smile. Friday fun: at least for me :)

So the big game pitting ODU versus NSU is coming up Saturday and it is, of course, sold out. The game will be broadcast on espn3, which means internet streaming to watch. I’m not a fan of sitting in front of my computer. So I started thinking about how to get the game to my … Continue reading »
