Register for Netroots Nation

It’s that time again. Time for Netroots Nation. From an email I received:

Since President Obama’s historic inauguration in January, we’ve seen some positive change take place—and we’ve started pushing major reform on issues like health care and climate change.

In the next 12 months, we’ll be working together more than ever to push progressive policy into legislation. And there’s no better place to strategize our priorities and plan how to make them a reality than at Netroots Nation, the annual Netroots convention that will be held in Pittsburgh this August.

At Netroots Nation, thousands of progressive activists meet to discuss important topics from the environment to the economy and strategize about how to organize and affect change.

Each year, some of the brightest minds and most influential leaders in our country come to Netroots Nation — past speakers have included President Barack Obama (during his Senate tenure); Vice President Al Gore; Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (during her Senate tenure); Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Majority Leader Harry Reid; and thought-leaders like Lawrence Lessig and Van Jones.

This year, attendees can choose from more than 70 panels and 20 training session, attend five keynotes, network at numerous parties, even participate in the annual Netroots Nation Screening Series.

Visit http://www.netrootsnation.org/agenda to check out the confirmed sessions for 2009 (and check back often, as the Netroots Nation team is adding panels daily).

Some of the panelists for 2009 include Chris Hayes, Rinku Sen, Nico Pitney, Darcy Burner, Jay Rosen, Jamal Simmons, Pam Spaulding, David Sirota, Brad Miller, Digby, Nate Silver, Lawrence Lessig, Howard Dean, Patrick Murphy, Donna Edwards, John Yarmuth, Carol Shea-Porter and many more.

From healthcare to energy and security, there’s no better place to strategize our priorities and plan how to make them a reality than at Netroots Nation. Will you join us in Pittsburgh August 13–16?

For a limited time, registration is just $275. After those registrations are gone, the price will be $325. With my schedule, I won’t be able to attend, but if I could, I’d be there. Sounds like a good time!
