WELCOME
I learned a lot about politics as the result of my run for City
Treasurer. This blog is my way of staying in touch with those who supported me and reaching out to those who did not.
The primary focus of this blog is Norfolk politics. Of course, you can't talk about Norfolk in a vacuum, so sprinkled in are some regional, state, and national politics. And sometimes, no politics at all.
The inspiration for this blog comes from one of Virginia's most respected forefathers:

Without, uhh, insulting our very smart Americans, I have to say that it must have been a very dumb American that wrote that test . . .
I thought the same thing
Yep, pretty simple. However, I have met people who stare blankly at me when I refer to WWII or don’t understand really basic historical references, so I guess it’s possible to flunk this one.
Such folks probably don’t get on political blogs, either.
Did anyone notice that the writer of the quiz ain’t too smart? Not knowing the difference between you’re and your. Hmm – wonder if English is a second language?
I’d be shocked to find folks missing those questions. And horribly disappointed.
To further pick at the apparent dumbness of quiz writer, our revolution encompassed just a few more years than 1776.
